Below are pages 1 & 2 of 4 pages of nurses’ notes prepared by the nurses on duty at the jail on the night in question. Note that the nurses were called after Jessie was strapped to the restraining chair, and the notation that Jessie “continued to be combative with officers. Placed in restraint chair,” is what she was told.
I am preparing a transcript to attach to this web site, but on page 2, the nurse states that Jessie was in the restraint chair, had been sprayed with pepper spray, the “spit” bag on Jessie’s face was covered in blood from the beating, and blood was coming from both ears. The officer, using profanity, told Jessie that he would kill Jessie, grabbed Jessie’s throat and choked him until he couldn’t breath, and Jessie kicked his feet to get to the officer off of him or to move, when one foot touched the officer, which resulted in the officer punching Jessie, full force, numerous times. The nurse also noted that there was no noted profanity or disrespect coming from Jessie. [There are two more pages.]
